Stone Wire

18 Guage Galvanized Wire

This 18-gauge galvanized wire can be used for a variety of uses including fencing, stucco/plastering, crafts, and home improvement. The galvanized coating will help the product resist rust. The 18 gauge wire is fairly flexible and can be bent and shaped easily without snapping or breaking.

This product is commonly referred to as stone wire is used with reinforcing mesh when a house is being prepared for the stucco basecoat. Stone wire is wrapped around a house in horizontal lines to hold the netting in place. Stone wire comes in a 100 lb. coil of eight 12.5 lb. sub bundles called “stones”.

Tile Cap

Tile Cap or Slotted C-Channel

Tile Cap is an imported galvanized metal trim that is specially designed to provide a clean, professional edge to a mortar bed. Originally designed and intended for kitchen and bath counter top mortar bed applications prior to tiling, this handy product has been adapted and has other common uses.

This 5' piece is small enough to be used inside small areas, while long enough to minimize seams. Slotted nail holes allow the metal to be adjusted to ensure level, or allows the contractor to adjust to a slight grade if so desired. The large holes allow a mortar to push through to ensure a good bond and hold.

Tile Cap comes in 5' length pieces that are 1 3/4” tall with 1/4” returns. Comes packaged 1000 pieces per pallet, broken down into 20 pieces per bundle and 50 bundles per pallet.
